Workshop on Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Promotion
on 11th March, 2024 at EDII Tiruchirappalli Agribusiness Incubation Forum
Workshop on Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Promotion for farmers and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), with a focus on agricultural exports, at the EDII Tiruchirappalli Agribusiness Incubation Forum on 11th March 2024.
Around 100 Participants from the districts of Trichy, Perambalur, Karur, Thanjavur and Ariyalur were participated.
This event aims to educate farmers and Farmers Producers Organizations (FPOs) on Importer Exporter Code (IEC) procedures and the range of schemes provided by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), as well as Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) procedures and schemes offered by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). Additionally, it will cover the compliance of export consignments with phytosanitary requirements by Plant Quarantine, and there will be on-the-spot registration facilitation for FPOs to acquire IEC.
