Workshop on Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Promotion for farmers and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), with a focus on agricultural exports, at Agro Food Trade Center, Madurai on 1st March,2024.
Around 120 Participants from the districts of Madurai, Trichy, Dindigul, Theni, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar were participated.
In this event Managing Director & CEO TNAPEx were addressed the gathering, Dr,Sriharsh, Plant Quarantine Officer, Mr.Muthiah, Assistant Manager , and EPC member were took technical session.
The event saw a robust turnout, with over 110 participants hailing from Dindigul, Madurai, Theni, and Karur districts. Among them, more than 60 attendees represented a diverse group, including farmers, farmer producer organizations, and entrepreneurs and 25 new exporters were participated.
This event aims to educate farmers and Farmers Producers Organizations (FPOs) on Importer Exporter Code (IEC) procedures and the range of schemes provided by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), as well as Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) procedures and schemes offered by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). Additionally, it will cover the compliance of export consignments with phytosanitary requirements by Plant Quarantine, and there will be on-the-spot registration facilitation for FPOs to acquire IEC.
